Everybody loves fabulous vacations in the Caribbean; it's hard not to enjoy the beautiful weather, fantastic people, and amazing views. Curacao is no exception. It's almost always sunny, but maintains a wonderful, breezy and cool temperature because of the trade winds. Part of the Antilles, it has breathtaking beaches—some are in caves, others are modern, spacious and beautiful. But most people who travel to Curacao are caught unawares by another bonus, which is the great shopping.

Curacao shopping can cater to almost any interest, and it is no surprise since the island's inhabitants are descended from more than 50 different backgrounds. Their native tongue is a menagerie of Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, English, and several other languages. Curacao shopping matches in its diversity, and no matter what the client's tastes, some style is bound to draw him or her in.

The two shopping districts in downtown Willemstad offer innumerable items in large malls where the shoppers can casually window-shop or go in to make purchases. These cruxes of Curacao shopping are Punda and Otrobanda. And if the wide variety of international objects isn't enough, Curacao shopping is tax free on many of their imported items. After all, Gucci, Chanel, and other famous designer labels are marketed in various Curacao shopping districts. To be able to purchase such high end, luxury items tax-free is a rare gift indeed.

Three popular parts of high-end Curacao shopping are Fascini and La Casa Amarilla. Fascini is a very stylish women's boutique, and its items are always a la mode. Perhaps the most eye-grabbing items are the jewels. Glittering, sparkling gems always attract attention and admiring Fascini's masterpieces can enhance any Curacao shopping trip. Even if buying is not an option, part of the fun in Curacao shopping is looking at the unique wonders.

With its heavenly aromas. La Casa Amarilla will attract even the most particular of clients. La Casa Amarilla carries designer lines such as Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Hugo Boss, and others. La Casa Amarilla prides itself on its excellent knowledge of cosmetics, as well as its high quality products and wonderful scents. Another noteworthy stop is at Bogart, a high-end fashion boutique for both men and women. The look is very polished and clean cut, but with a bit of glamor.

Fascini and La Casa Amarilla pride themselves upon great, knowledgeable customer service and years of experience. Many of these companies have been in establishment for more than a century. However, with Curacao shopping, age isn't everything. Despite the fact that Punda was built in 1648, other, younger markets have their own ways of attracting attention. One market that attracts a lot of attention is the Floating Market. This is not a floating district for Curacao shopping, rather, it earned its name because produce from Venezuela was floated overseas to the island.

Shopping is fantastic anywhere, but Curacao shopping is one-of-a-kind. Curacao shopping is a great experience because of all the different cultures that define the island's heritage. Drawing from so many different ethnicities, Curacao shopping has something for everyone. Curacao shopping has so many different things, it might just be worth skipping the beach for a day or two to browse the malls.
